Practical: The EVA emergency
vehicle warning system is a straight forward application of well known principles.
The receiver is easy to install in existing vehicles (similar to a radar detector).
Inexpensive: The
target price for retrofitting existing vehicles is under $25.00. This will
allow room for insurance company incentives for including the system in existing
vehicles.
Reliable: Eliminate
the ‘false’ alarms often found in radar detectors by incorporating
a ‘fail safe’ circuit that checks for multiple signals from the
emergency vehicle before warning a driver that it is nearby.
Omni directional: Emergency
personnel, with a parked vehicle, can leave the system ON to warn oncoming
drivers that they are approaching a dangerous situation and should proceed
with caution. In other words, it will inform you any time you are approaching
an emergency vehicle, whether or not it is moving.
